In September 2025, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C), Government of Telangana, signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Australia’s Deakin University in Hyderabad to promote Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven innovative solutions supporting governance, digital economy, and public good.

  • - The LoI was signed by Bhavesh Mishra, Deputy Secretary, ITE&C Telangana, and Iain Martin, Vice-Chancellor (VC), Deakin University.
  • - As part of the agreement, Deakin University will set up an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Telangana, serving as a hub for innovation, research, and application of AI solutions.
