In January 2025, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I), launched the National Turmeric Board (NTB) in New Delhi, with the goal of boosting the turmeric industry in India.

  • - Palle Ganga Reddy has been appointed as the first Chairperson of the Board, and its headquarters have been established in Nizamabad, Telangana.
