HPCL has entered into an agreement with NLDS to integrate its API with ULIP.

HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) has signed an agreement with National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (NICDC) and its subsidiary, NLDS (NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited), based in New Delhi. The agreement is to integrate HPCL’s Application Programming Interface (API) with the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP).

🎯 Key Highlights:

  • - The MoU was signed by Girish Kumar Supur, CEO of NLDS, and Anju Jai Misra, General Manager of HPCL's Delhi Retail Region. The signing took place in the presence of Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO and Managing Director (MD) of NICDC and Chairman of NLDS, and Avinash Jain, Chief General Manager (CGM) of HPCL’s North Zone.
  • - This collaboration is a significant step in enhancing transparency, boosting operational efficiency, and encouraging innovation in India's logistics sector. The aim is to create a smarter logistics system that provides real-time data and easy access to resources. This will help stakeholders in the supply chain to innovate and increase efficiency.

💡 Other Important Facts:

  • (i) The HPCL API on ULIP provides real-time information on fuel station locations and prices across India. This helps logistics providers, traders, and transporters plan more efficiently, reduce costs, and support ULIP’s goal of simplifying and digitizing India’s supply chain.
  • (ii) NLDS (Logistics Data Services Limited) is a joint venture between the Government of India (GoI), represented by NICDIT (National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust), and the Japanese IT company Nippon Electric Company Limited (NEC). Both partners have equal ownership, with a 50:50 equity share.
  • (iii) ULIP (Unified Logistics Interface Platform) is a digital platform that connects businesses to logistics data from 41 systems across 11 government ministries using 125 APIs. It covers more than 1,800 data fields.
