  • (i) On 29th September 1946, The Cadet Corps Committee was established with Pt HN Kunzru as its chairman.
  • (ii) On 15th June 1948, the NCC was officially established through an ordinance issued by the Government of India, functioning as an auxiliary educational organization of the Indian Army and Navy.
  • (iii) Every year, on the 4th Sunday of November, NCC Day is observed to commemorate the day in 1947 when the first units of the NCC were established in Delhi.
