  • - On October 16, 2025, VP Alckmin met with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh (Ministry of Defence – MoD) in New Delhi, where India formally proposed supplying the Akash surface-to-air missile system to Brazil. Both nations also discussed possibilities for co-development and co-production of defence equipment to boost technological self-reliance.
  • - VP Alckmin co-chaired the India–Brazil Trade Ministerial Review Meeting with Union Minister Piyush Goyal (Ministry of Commerce and Industry – MoC&I). The discussions focused on expanding the India–MERCOSUR Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) to increase bilateral trade from USD 12 billion (2024) to USD 20 billion by 2030.
  • - He inaugurated and addressed the India–Brazil Business Forum, organized jointly by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), and National Confederation of Industry (CNI) of Brazil, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and MoDIC.
