  • - World Habitat Day 2025 was observed globally on October 6, 2025, focusing on the theme “Urban Crisis Response.” The observance emphasized the importance of addressing challenges like housing shortages, rapid urbanization, and climate resilience in cities.
  • - The event was attended by Srinivas Katikithala (Secretary, MoHUA), Satinder Pal Singh (Additional Secretary, MoHUA), Kuldip Narayan (Joint Secretary & Mission Director, Housing for All Division), Shombi Sharp (UN Resident Coordinator, UN India), along with senior MoHUA officials and CMDs of affiliated organizations.
