C-DAC and ICAT Sign MoU to Develop, Test, and Certify Indigenous Automotive Technologies.

In October 2025, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), under the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop, test, and certify indigenous automotive technologies. The agreement was formalized during the Traffic InfraTech Expo 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Delhi.

  • - The collaboration aims to promote indigenous automotive innovation in line with national initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, by developing technologies suited to Indian conditions and reducing reliance on foreign solutions.
