In October 2025, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to develop 15 Gigawatt (GW) renewable energy projects during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held at Mehsana, Gujarat.
