NTPC Renewable Energy Signs MoU with Gujarat to Develop 15 GW Renewable Energy Projects.

In October 2025, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to develop 15 Gigawatt (GW) renewable energy projects during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held at Mehsana, Gujarat.

  • - Under the MoU, NTPC REL will develop 15 GW of renewable energy capacity, comprising 10 GW of solar projects and 5 GW of wind projects, contributing to Gujarat’s clean energy growth.
  • - The agreement covers both conventional and non-conventional energy sources, including Thermal, Hydro, Solar, Wind, Green hydrogen, Battery energy storage, Pumped hydro, and Waste-to-energy projects, fostering comprehensive energy cooperation.
