In September 2025, Odisha-based deep-tech startup Coratia Technologies signed a contract worth Rs 66 crore (approx. USD 7.5 million) with the Indian Navy (IN) for supplying indigenously-built Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (UWROVs). This deal marks the first large-scale deployment of India-made UWROVs in the Navy, supporting the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.

  • - Under this agreement, Coratia Technologies will supply and maintain Jalasimha, Jaladuta, and Navya, AI-enabled underwater and surface vehicles designed for diverse naval operations, inspections, and monitoring tasks.
