On May 27, 2025, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Ministry of Defence (MoD), approved the execution model for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme, marking a significant move towards strengthening indigenous defence capabilities and promoting a robust domestic aerospace industrial ecosystem.

  • - The AMCA programme will be implemented by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), in collaboration with industry partners.
  • - The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is India’s indigenously developed fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft. It will feature stealth technology, supercruise capability, advanced avionics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted systems.
