  • - Known as Bhartiya Sena Diwas, it commemorates the appointment of Field Marshal KM Cariappa as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army in 1949.
  • - On Indian Army Day 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned three key naval combatants—Indian Naval Ship (INS) Surat, INS Nilgiri, and INS Vaghsheer—at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

💡 Other Important Facts:

  • (i) For the first time, the Nepali Army Band participated in the parade held in Pune, Maharashtra.
  • (ii) The Indian Army also displayed its Multi-Utility Legged Equipment (MULES), commonly known as robotic dogs.
